PWD Training Academy and Testing Laboratory

Welcome to PWD Training Academy & Testing Lab

PWD Training Academy & testing lab(PWDTA) was established in 2010 for PWD engineers as well as architects of the department of architecture for imparting continuous training to enhance their technical skills and knowledge. With that view PWDTA now organizing various specialized training courses for the engineers and employees of PWD.

Training calendar for PWDTAs for the year 2013-14 contained 44 training courses.  One of these courses was targeted to add.chief engineers, two for superintending engineers, six for executive engineers, eighteen for sub-div. & asst. engineers , ten for sub-asst. engineers and seven for employees.

PWTA offers good quality training courses on various  subjects; such as PPR, e-gp, Pile construction, Soil investigation, Plumbing & sanitation, Basic computer, Study of architectural, Structural & Electrical drawings, Fire safety design; Heating, Ventilation and air conditioning design ;Lift, generator and renewable energy Digital survey; Personal information management system; Testing of construction materials; Environment impact assessment etc.

Site visit, laboratory tests & case study are also included in the courses to make the training an effective one.

There are three classrooms, one computer lab having all modern facilities including air-conditioning system, sound system, short distance inter-active multimedia and starboard based on software , networking, library  etc. All the three floors are connected with 3Mbps Wi-Fi internet facilities. 

PWTA is committed to develop the human resources of PWD through the enhancement and updating of skills and professional knowledge of the trainees   . Proposed trainings will also enable the engineers and employees of PWD to deliver work of desired quality.
